Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was known as a TV host, former chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark hairstyle and her spiky, blond locks as well as her pumped to the max, shares basic techniques anyone can learn. Chef Burrell was also employed by various top eateries that are located in New York, studied the tradition of Italian cuisine, and the culinary landscape in Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at the age of. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop for her when she finished with A Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was impossible to study or do enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. Through her stay in Italy she was able to fully recognize and comprehend the principles of Italian food and culture that has had a profound impact in her perspective. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels all over the U.S. to share her passion for cooking as well as her work. Anne said she felt lucky in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with many others.
